NOKIA 9 PUREVIEW with 5 CAMERAS FINALLY ANNOUNCED at MWC 2019
Much leaked and much anticipated phone with 5 cameras from Nokia, NOKIA 9 Pureview is finally announced in MWC 2019 held at Barcelona. Yes, NOKIA 9 Pureview comes with 5 cameras at rear side.
Nokia 9 Pureview features a 5.99 inch 2K display. It is a plastic OLED panel having HMD Global's Puredisplay technology. There is a Gorilla glass 5 protection on the both both rear and front side. One aspect where Nokia 9 Pureview lags behind is the processor used, it is last years flagship processor Snapdragon 845 whereas other 2019 flagship features Snapdragon 855 on the board. Nokia 9 Pureview is the first Nokia to incorporate a in-display fingerprint scanner. It has a decent 3320mAh battery and runs on latest Android Pie on board.
Now, we came to main USP of this phone, ie., 5 cameras. The camera module sports three monochrome sensors, each of 12MP and two RGB sensors also of 12MP each. HMD Global claims that each monochrome one captures 2.9 times more light than a RGB sensor. HMD Global (Nokia) has partnered with Light, a photography company who built 16 cameras module. Light provided a imaging co-processor ASIC to control the camera setup.
ASIC runs in background to control exposure and white balance. The Nokia 9 pureview make use of CPU, GPU and DSP for speedy noise reduction and lower power consumption.
Nokia 9 Pureview shoots photos in RAW DMG format to make the editing of the shots more easily. For this HMD Global has partnered with Adobe, which makes the editing process on the go.
