REALME 3 PRICE, SPECS, FEATURES, FIRST IMPRESSIONS

REALME 3 is finally here. Realme 3 has been released in India with the aim of dominating entry-budget market. Realme 3 will fights against its competitors like Redmi note 7, Samsung galaxy M10, Samsung galaxy A10. Realme smartphones have always been priced aggresive and so, thus Realme 3 price starts at Rs.8,999. 

   

So, let us go in deep into Realme 3 and try to know whether Realme 3 is a phone to buy or not?

REALME 3 DESIGN

Realme 3 seems to be a good looking phone with some gradient finish at back and a tear drop notch, despite having a plastic back. Don't get me wrong, it is a pretty good phone but some phones like Redmi note 7 possesses a Glass back which looks more promising and happening. Buttons, sim tray, headphone jack, micro USB port found their usual placements. I would love to see type-C port instead of micro USB one.

REALME 3 DISPLAY

As Realme 3 is a successor  of Realme 2 not the Realme 2 pro, it has a HD+ 6.2 inch display with the resolution of 1520x720 pixels. This display provides good viewing angles, vibrant colours but surely not the brightest and best in this price range. Moreover, its competitors like Redmi note 7, galaxy A10, galaxy M10 have better displays than Realme 3.

REALME 3 SOFTWARE

Realme 3 comes with the same Color OS 6.0 which offers packs of features like clone apps, smart gestures but still is not so user friendly. This time Realme 3 has Android Pie out of the box which is good. This UI is still not good and needs much improvement.

REALME 3 HARDWARE and PERFORMANCE

Realme 3 features a Helio P70 chip which is built over 12 nm process and is pretty awesome and fast. P70 is in neck to neck Snapdragon 660 in CPU, but slightly behind in terms of GPU.

P70 perform very well in all situations. PUBG runs in medium settings by default and gameplay is  smooth but there are some frame drops.

REALME 3 CAMERAS 

Rear camera module of Realme 3 consists of dual cameras, primary one is 13MP and secondary is 2MP depth sensor, same as 🎁 in Realme U1. The shots are good and are comparable to its competitors. In my testing, rear cameras of Realme 3 performs better than that of Redmi Note 7. For selfies there is a 13MP front camera which is  not the best in this price range, but are decent enough for social media postings. The selfie camera of Realme 3 performs slightly low in comparison to that of Redmi note 7 and Realme U1.

REALME 3 BATTERY

In battery department, Realme 3 has the same huge 4230mAH battery which can easily give a day backup considering your usage patterns. For charging this battery, we have been provided with usual 10W charger in the box itself which is capable enough to charge a 4230mAh battery in about 2hrs 30min.
