Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 Launched, Price Starts At Rs.7,999
Xiaomi following the usual pattern of launching a lot of smartphones in the same price bracket has again released its two new smartphones as Redmi 7 and Redmi Y3. Redmi 7 is almost the same device as that of Redmi Y3, differing only in the form of lower megapixel count front camera.
Price and Availability
Whereas, the price of Redmi Y3 is Rs.9,999 for 3GB+32GB variant and the other 4GB+64GB variant being priced at Rs.11,999. Redmi Y3 will have its first sale on 29th April at 12 noon.
Specifications and Notable Features
First taking on Redmi 7, it has a dot notch 6.26-inch HD+ display with the resolution of 1520x720 pixels having Gorilla glass 5 protection. Redmi 7 comes with a poly-carbonate back which does look great due to its Aura design which refracts light to show off its iridescent back just like a peacock.Redmi 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 632 processor and runs on MIUI 10 built over Android 9 Pie.
In camera department, Redmi 7 features a dual camera module which consists of a 12MP sensor coupled with a f/2.2 lens and a 2MP depth sensor for Bokeh effect. For selfies, there is a 8MP (f/2.0) camera.
Redmi 7 packs a good standard 4,000mAh battery. Redmi 7 also provides headphone jack, face unlock, fingerprint scanner and IR Blaster.
Now, coming to the later Redmi Y3, Redmi Y3 has only one major difference from Redmi 7. Redmi Y3 features a large 32MP selfie front camera while the Redmi 7 has only a 8MP selfie shooter.
Apart from these all the specs are same. Yes, the Redmi Y3 comes with different variants.
The battery of Redmi Y3 has huge upgrade over its predecessor Redmi Y2 as Redmi Y2 comes with only 3,000mAh battery and now, Redmi Y3 features a bigger 4,000mAh battery.
